This year Friendship Day will be celebrated on Sunday August 7th. What started as a day to celebrate the relationship between friends has grown into a worldwide celebration. Congress declared Friendship Day to be the 1st Sunday in August, starting in 1935. The exchange of flowers, cards, and gifts has grown more popular in the last few years.
