Happy August Friends ~ Another month of the year is ripped from our calendars.  School is about to start, the weather will get cooler, and the days will get shorter.  The last true month of summer is upon us.  August will be an exciting month for us.  We have finished our remodel and our open house is over but we have a lot in store for you!

Glorious Gladiolus

The flower of the month for August is the Gladiolus.  These beautiful blooms come in so many colors, sizes, and variations.   The name gladious is latin for sword.  Gladiolus are often called sword lily.

Gladiolus represent strength and moral integrity.

Arrangement of the Month

Friendship Day ~

This year Friendship Day will be celebrated on Sunday August 7th.  What started as a day to celebrate the relationship between friends has grown into a worldwide celebration.  Congress declared Friendship Day to be the 1st Sunday in August, starting in 1935.  The exchange of flowers, cards, and gifts has grown more popular in the last few years.  If you are interested in sending your friend something special we have selected some of our more popular floral arrangements here for you.  However you choose to celebrate be sure to let your friends know how much you appreciate them.  Kind words, a handmade card, a phone call, or of course flowers!
