31 Day blog challenge ~ Day 11

So today we were challenged to come up with 10 new blog ideas.  I chose 4 different blog posts and charted out ways to branch out from the post to new topics.  This is what I found.


Heart Strings ~ This was a post about a funeral piece we created for a customer a few weeks ago. 

• How to choose an arrangement for a funeral.  Show different types of arrangments and explain
• What to do when the obituary says, "In Lue of Flowers".
• How to order flowers for a funeral out of town.
• Grave Saddles and other cemetary pieces.

House Plant Care Guides ~ This was an article for our list post challenge. 

• Re-Potting your house plants
• Everyday care - watering, pruning, and such
• Choosing a house plant
• Decorating with house plants
• Top 10 occasions to give a plant for
• What plants do you need to bring in for the winter
• Easy to care for house plants
• Best outdoor for your area

Fresh Flower Care ~ This blog was about ways to care for a fresh bouquet.

• Best Value for your money
• How to make a simple arrangment (step by step with pictures)
• Selecting the right size and shape of vase
• Top 10 reasons to send a fresh bouquet
• Best seasons to buy types of flowers (example daffodils in the spring, poinsettias in the winter)
• Selecting the right flowers for the occasion
• When silk flowers work best
• How to order flowers
• Local florist vs order takers
• Why to buy ~ compare costs to other gift ideas

Marketing Guru ~ This was a cute post about my little marketing children. 

• How they relate to our shop
• She said what? Kayleigh
• Warren and his Bunny Cereal
• Leanna and how she sees small businesses
• Out growing clothes
• Back to school
• Best movies and T.V. shows for kids
• Fun in the car

Those are just a few of the ideas I came up with in less then 30 minutes.  It is really a lot of fun to brainstorm like that.  You should try it sometime and see what kind of ideas you can come up with.  Simply start with one idea and just gooooo!
